Resilient Lehigh Valley’s ability to drive trauma-informed change throughout the region is rooted in its commitment to cross-sector partnerships. By working alongside schools, nonprofits, healthcare systems, government agencies and grassroots organizations, RLV ensures that healing-centered practices are accessible to everyone.
One of RLV’s newest collaborations is with Resilient Edge, founded by long-time partner and advocate Kory W. Kutzler.
Kory has been a part of the RLV movement since its inception, before it was formally called Resilient Lehigh Valley. As an original member of the team, he helped shape the coalition’s early vision for trauma-informed systems change in the Lehigh Valley. A steadfast champion of mental health wellness policy and practice, Kory has dedicated his career to helping organizations respond to adversity with compassion, clarity and purpose.
Resilient Edge emerged as a natural evolution of that commitment. The organization reflects the full spectrum of Kory’s experience, offering a wide range of trauma-informed and resilience-focused services designed to support individuals, teams and organizations. The work is grounded in compassion, collaboration and a deep understanding of how trauma impacts both personal well-being and team dynamics.
Resilient Edge was actively involved in RLV’s 2025 Conference, themed “Building Community Resilience Through Community Connections.” Kory led morning and afternoon sessions on the power of using gratitude as a tool for trauma healing and working through mental health struggles. Additionally, Kory co-led an interactive activity around gratitude and appreciation. The activity asked participants to write something they were grateful for on a leaf-shaped piece of paper, which was then attached to a larger tree with all attendees’ papers to create a full tree, showing the power of connection and gratitude as a support for mental health.
In addition to its collaborations with RLV, Resilient Edge offers Professional Development Programs, and a Team Building and Communication Sports Program to cultivate mental wellness. The professional development sessions strengthen trauma awareness, build resilience, and improve collaboration across teams through engaging, practical topics. The team-building program aims to enhance a team’s effectiveness and cohesiveness through various activities and exercises.
Whether working with schools, nonprofits, healthcare professionals or community organizations, Resilient Edge helps build systems that recognize the impact of trauma and foster environments that support healing and resilience. Resilient Edge’s work deeply aligns with RLV’s mission to create a trauma-informed and resilient community.
Together, RLV and Resilient Edge are equipping the Lehigh Valley with the tools, language and leadership needed to transform mandates into meaningful momentum.
