Trauma-Informed Toolkit: Mindfulness – Meditation

Meditation is a technique for resting the mind and attaining a state of consciousness different from the normal waking state.  By bringing attention to the present moment and noticing your breathing, your mind will begin to wonder, pulling you into a state of serenity. Meditation aims to reduce stress, anxiety, depression, and pain while increasing your perception and well-being.
